The faces behind Noah Labs
At Noah Labs, cardiology professors and healthcare veterans meet experts in data science & machine learning. Here's how we combine guideline-defining research with breakthrough technology.

Oliver is a serial entrepreneur who previously founded care platform Mecasa. He is a public health expert, repeatedly raised funds from the EU, and developed a healthcare DIN / ISO standard. Oliverholds a Master's in Finance from Copenhagen Business School and started his career in M&A.

Marcus is a machine learning expert who programmed cardiac MRI sequences at Harvard Medical School with the technology rolled out across the US. He holds a Master's in Machine Learning from TU Munich. Marcus previously worked for various healthcare startups and for Siemens.

Leonhard is a medical doctor specialized in cardiology. He previously worked in telemonitoring as a researcher at both Charité in Berlin and as Medical Director of startup MedKitDoc. In addition to his medical degree, Leonhard holds a business degree from WHU.
Founded in Berlin in 2021 by Oliver and Marcus, Noah Labs aims to combine guideline-defining research with groundbreaking technology.
Marcus, inspired by his research at Harvard Medical School, recognized the tremendous potential that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can offer in the field of cardiology. Equally enthusiastic about this vision, Oliver had already built a successful healthcare startup and witnessed the immense need for innovative solutions.
The two met through the program at Entrepreneur First, one of the leading tech incubators in London. Shortly after, they were joined by Leo who had previously run remote monitoring programs and research Charité Berlin, and as the saying goes:

Our journey so far

Maastricht University Hospital has successfully recruited the first patient for the PRE-DETECT-HF trial, a project in development since 2022. Following funding and approval in 2023, the trial underwent a year of protocol adjustments and tech preparation. The study aims to validate a voice algorithm in an outpatient setting and is co-funded by EIT Health and the European Union, with participation from Maastricht UMC and Clinic Barcelona.

February marked a breakthrough for Noah Labs with the CE certification of its Class IIa medical device and the commercialization of its telemonitoring platform, Noah Labs Ark. That same month, Dr. Leonhard Riehle joined as Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, bringing invaluable expertise to the team. In May, Noah Labs secured €3M in equity and grant financing from Nina Capital and Adesso Ventures, fueling its mission to transform cardiology care.

Noah Labs continues to make strides in transforming cardiology care. In August 2023, the company achieved ISO 13485 certification, demonstrating its dedication to quality and compliance. November saw a major milestone with the Foundation of the German Heart Centre at Charité becoming an investor. By December, Noah Labs launched the groundbreaking voice analysis study VAMP-HF at Mayo Clinic and at Charité, laying the groundwork for the development of Noah Labs Vox.

In a small Berlin office, a passionate team began developing Noah Labs Ark, a telemonitoring platform designed to transform cardiology care. The journey was shaped by countless customer interviews with cardiologists, ensuring the platform met real-world clinical needs. Supported by angel investments and strengthened by their first hire, the team combined expertise, innovation, and determination to create a solution that bridges cutting-edge technology with patient-centered care.

Founded in Berlin in 2021 by Oliver and Marcus, Noah Labs combines cutting-edge research with groundbreaking technology. Marcus, inspired by his work at Harvard Medical School, saw AI's transformative potential in cardiology. Oliver, a seasoned healthcare entrepreneur, brought firsthand insights into the industry's need for innovation. The duo met at Entrepreneur First, one of London's top tech incubators—and the rest is history.
